10 Weirdest Fantastic Four Villains Of All Time

9. Molecule Man

Mole Man
Marvel Comics

After being exposed to energy from a particle generator, Own Reece learned he could control matter on an atomic level and thus, became the supervillain, Molecule Man.

He is so freakishly powerful, he atomised Thor’s hammer, Silver Surfer’s board, and Captain America’s shield simultaneously, even though all these items are supposedly indestructible.

Despite being around for 50 years, many readers still aren't sure how Molecule Man's abilities works exactly... probably because Marvel keeps changing it! In recent years, it was revealed that Molecule Man's power originated from the Cosmic Cube; an energy source that was only limited by the wielder's imagination. These were created by omniversal entities called the Beyonders who used Molecule Man as a "detonator" of each universe. If the Beyonders grew bored of any reality, they would kill Molecule Man to obliterate that corresponding universe.

When he killed a Molecule Man of another universe, it caused that dimension to collapse, setting off a chain-reaction, leading to the annihilation of every universe but one. This event was known as The Incursion.

This backstory is so confusing, the most die-fan Fantastic Four fans struggle to comprehend it.
