8. The Riddler's Father
It’s almost impressive that someone who has never canonically been given a name has such a sordid history of fatherhood. Yet Nigma’s father is perhaps one of the worst in Batman’s rogues gallery – which is really saying something, when you look at most of their upbringings.
This is because the Riddler’s villainous compulsion to test others’ intelligence comes from his father who, whenever his son showed signs of a considerable intellect, would refuse to believe him.
Not only that, but Nigma would actively be punished for this by his dad, which is literally as insane as punishing a kid for good exam results sounds.
