Sure, his daughter Cassandra learns some rad martial arts, but it’s at the cost of her purposefully not being taught basic things like how to speak, so she could be a better fighter. Cassandra’s ability to fit into society is completely crippled, and a good portion of her character arc revolves around her trying to recover from the fact that she has no idea how to do anything but murder real good.

While several comics show that David does care about Cassandra, this doesn’t counteract the fact that he pretty much ruined her ability to function like a regular person.
