2. Darkseid/Highfather
It’s hard to know who is the worse parent between Darkseid and Highfather, as the two swapped their infant sons.
On one hand, Highfather took good care of Orion, the child Darkseid gave him – which should technically make him the better parent, as Darkseid had Scott Free hanging out in a torture camp run by Granny Goodness.
On the other hand, Highfather totally knew his son would be endlessly tortured – and still gave Scott over.
While Highfather wasn’t exactly pleased to give his son away, he also didn’t do anything to try and get his son back – or even to give him hope in the hellscape he was trapped in – which is pretty awful.
But who was worse? It’s a conundrum for the decades.
