5. Super-'S'-Throwing

It's a classic, but it does have some absolutely baffling moments of Superman pulling never-before-mentioned powers out of his overpants. Like all terrible superpowers, this is used once, once only and then never heard from again. The writers would like you to please forget about it, because it never really happened. You just blacked out, because you have a problem and we're all worried about you. The power in question? During the showdown in the Fortress of Solitude, Superman pulls the 'S' from off of his chest, and throws it at a bearded Zodite flying towards him. The symbol then wraps around the man like clingfilm and he falls back, momentarily shocked. How is the S still on his chest afterwards? Why did the S dissolve? What's it made of - truth, justice? Did he just throw The American Way at someone? Did Superman get jealous of Batman throwing little bat symbols around and thought he would have a go?
