Comic love interests are destined to die - it's pretty much a fact at this point of the industry.

But, in this regard, Harley is even more unlucky. Between Guy Kopski, Mason Macabre, and even 'bigger names' like Deadshot and Poison Ivy, being romantically involved with Harley Quinn is essentially the kiss of death to any character's physical wellbeing for at least the next volume of comics they appear in.

And this does make sense - after all, people love seeing the dynamic between Joker and Harley, so any other romantic ties are unlikely to remain that way for long.

However, with Harley moving further and further away from just being considered the Joker's partner, it might be time to give her someone else to have a relationship with - or at least to stop brutally murdering and maiming everyone who tries.
