3. Agent Emily Preston's Death - Deadpool (2012) #5
Just when Wade Wilson was freed from the never-ending voices in his head, another voice was shoved inside him. This specific voice came from SHIELD agent Emily Preston, who is arguably one of the most beneficial voices Deadpool has ever had to talk to.
She was forced to live inside Wade's twisted minds for a good couple of months due to being killed during a fight with all the resurrected president of the United States until she was finally given an LMD body replacement by SHIELD.
The guilt Wade felt about Preston's death and the fears surrounding her eventual departure made Wade live constantly on edge, worrying that the one person who has been nothing but nice and supportive, and who was even able to control his body to do things that were actually good.
Preston's daughter Ellie, who Deadpool viewed like his own daughter, was another good accident to come from Preston's merge with Wade. Unfortunately, after the Secret Empire arc, Wade had to dismantle Preston's LMD body, only giving her to Captain America after being brought in for killing agent Coulson.
In the end, Wade had unintentionally brought harm not only to Agent Preston, but her daughter too, and that haunted him more than any of the other horrific actions he performed during the Secret Empire storyline.
