As those with even a limited grasp on recent history will know, concentration camps are entirely barbaric. Whether they be located in 1940s Europe or modern-day China, their existence displays the worst of humanity - an existence that no one should have to live through once, let alone multiple times.

Due to Wolverine's healing factor though, Logan suffered a cycle of hard labour and, in his case, attempted execution for weeks on end.

Obviously, the experience inflicted a great deal of pain on Howlett, from both the numerous hours of gruelling labour and different methods of attempted execution. The effects of watching so many others die must have had a huge impact on Logan's psyche too.

It's a testament to Wolverine's willpower that he managed to emerge from the camp unscathed.
