Fighting with the man responsible for making your wife miscarry is always going to be a tense and emotion-ridden event. Had Wally decided to maim, or even kill Zoom, it'd be entirely warranted - as, unheroic as murder may be - it'd be a fair reaction to the absolute heartbreak both West and his wife were experiencing after this all happened.
What the Flash actually decides to do, however, is to trap the villain in a single moment. He leaves Zoom stuck reliving the precise moment he ruined his own life, watching his father-in-law be shot and his wife leave him again, and again, and again.
This is arguably even worse than when the Flash killed Professor Zoom, as seeing your most nightmarish moment for the rest of your life is without a doubt a fate worse than death.
