6. Turned A Darker Shade Of Green - Cry For Justice
What do Green Arrow and Green Lantern have in common? Yes, they are both members of the Justice League. Yes, they both have a similar naming scheme. Yes, they both wear a lot of a certain colour. And yes, they both went rogue and straight up tortured and murdered criminals.
After the Final Crisis event saw both Martian Manhunter and Batman bite the dust (though not permanently, of course - this is comics), the League became divided. Two of its greenest members decided to form a splinter group and, shaken by the events of Darkseid's recent invasion attempt, they took a much different, much more violent approach to fighting crime.
In Cry For Justice, Green Lantern and Green Arrow had no qualms about viciously beating information out of criminals, and hunting down villains like animals. They also freely broke the number one rule in the history of the JLA, when Green Arrow fully murdered Prometheus, an obscure supervillain.
In fairness to Green Arrow, Prometheus had just destroyed Star City. This resulted in the death of Green Arrow's adoptive granddaughter, alongside countless others, and Prometheus had gotten away with it scot-free. Well, at least he thought he had gotten away with it, until he all of a sudden had an arrow through his skull. Funny how that can happen.
