10 Worst Things The Justice League Has Ever Done
4. Took A Gap Year - 52
Look, we all need a break from time to time. It's only fair. Nobody can be expected to do the same job again and again forever and ever, even if they are gifted with super endurance.
So we can understand why, after the events of Identity Crisis, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman (along with a few other members of the Justice League), decided they needed some time off to relax and 'find themselves'.
However, while most of us have the luxury of two or three weeks of paid vacation a year, our heroes decided to treat themselves to an entire year off from their civil duties. This led to 52, an experimental event in which DC released weekly comics over one year, all of which highlighted second and third tier heroes over their flagship characters.
This went about as well as expected. While the 52 comics were entertaining and great showcases of otherwise underdeveloped characters, they featured so many moments that could have been easily solved by any of the Justice League getting up off their asses and coming back to work. After all, villains like Black Adam didn't take any holiday time at all, and came close to starting World War III as a result.
