10 Worst Things The Spectre Has Ever Done

6. Spectre Failed To Stop The Collapse Of The Multiverse

The Anti-Monitor arose from the planet Qward in the anti-mater universe and, after centuries of fighting his equal number, the heroic Monitor embarked on his mission to destroy all of the positive matter universes. He destroyed millions of universes before he was opposed by the heroes of the remaining worlds. With five “Earths” left, the most powerful heroes attempted to battle the Monitor directly. After some significant losses, they gained a brief victory.

The Spectre made himself known across the five planets that the Anti-Monitor was still alive and had traveled to the Dawn of Time to change history from the very beginning. A group of heroes was chosen to oppose him and the world’s magicians came together to channel all their power into the Spirit of Vengeance so that he could engage the villain on his own level.

The battle took place on a cosmic scale, and the “Hand of Creation” that the heroes observed was that of the Anti-Monitor, with the Spectre growing to an immense size to engage the Anti-Monitor face to face. Their battle was fierce and unleashed an explosion of energy that rewrote reality. Where there had been a multiverse, there was now a single universe. While many billions had been saved and the Anti-Monitor ultimately defeated, the Wraith had failed to preserve the multiverse.
