10 Worst Things Wolverine Has Ever Done
2. He Let Storm Get Kidnapped
Published in 1987 Uncanny X-Men #215 (written by Chris Claremont, and illustrated by Alan Davis) presented an incident of embarrassing carelessness by an impulsive Logan.
Wolverine and Storm went to investigate the burning house of Sarah Grey - Jean's sister - trying to determine what had caused the fire. As the two searched the remains of the building Wolverine detected the scent of Jean Grey, who was thought to be dead at the time.
At this point all other priorities seemed to vanish for him, and he charged off into the woods towards the smell, carelessly swinging his fist behind him, hitting storm in the face. She was propelled to the ground, unconscious, and he didn’t even stop to check if she was ok, but rather continued ahead with total abandon, consumed by his new mission.
Vulnerable to those with the advantage of consciousness on their side, Storm was taken by hunters who chased mutants for sport. She awoke chained up in the dungeon of a hunting cabin. Confronted by her captors when attempting escape, she learned that they too were mutants, their names, Super Sabre, Stonewall and Crimson Commando.
Once again she was knocked out, and regained consciousness outside the cabin, finding out that she was to be incorporated as new prey in a hunt for sport.
