10 Zany Comic Book Movies That Would Send Fans Wild

1. Deadpool

This one was a no-brainer. Fans have been crying out for a Deadpool movie since the 'Merc with a Mouth' first appeared back in the early 1990's, but why is he so popular? First off, Deadpool is just a badass. Wade Willson's mercenary skills are almost second to none and he is equally adept as both a swordsman and a marksman. The assassin is also a product of the Weapon X program, which imbued Deadpool with Wolverine's healing factor in order to fight off the cancer ravaging his body. Deadpool endures a constant battle with the illness which has disfigured his entire body and even his mind, which is now disturbed beyond repair. Deadpool's psychosis sets him apart from other more orthodox super 'heroes' and it is this that's made him one of the most memorable characters created by Marvel in decades. Despite his mercenary background, The 'Merc with a Mouth' is hilariously talkative, driving opponents mad through his constant babbling. Similarly to Ambush Bug, Wilson is also famous for breaking the fourth wall and openly talking to both the readers and comic book creators to often humorous effect. Despite the travesty that was Ryan Reynold's performance of the role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there are still rumors that Deadpool may yet make it to the big screen in either a solo venture or as part of a X-Force adaptation. Given the right script, this unorthodox anti-hero could become one of the most popular comic book movie characters to appear in years. There really is no one else quite like him...
