While a less direct insult, the way the Joker completely destroys his lawyer's argument during the events of Joker: The Devil's Advocate is never not equal parts amusing and brutal.

For the entire of the court proceedings surrounding the Joker being accused of a series of poisonings, his court-appointed lawyer repeatedly attempts to remind the villain that the case against him is weak, and that were the Joker to just restrain himself from appearing so evil, he could easily walk free.

The Joker - who is totally aware of the fact he's innocent of this particular crime, but actively wants to face charges out of spite - pretends to his lawyer that he is aiming for an insanity plea, when in actuality he is subtly telling him that he intends to mess with the system.

All this culminates in one of the most accidentally funny comic panels of all time, where the Joker responds to his lawyer's snide comment of "oh, it's that easy to show insanity?" by immediately smashing his own face into the table as hard as he can. Truly, there have never been two panels that show the Joker so well.
