The al Ghuls really are the picture postcard for a dysfunctional family.
On the one hand you've got a neglecterino father whose only purpose in life is to lead the League of Assassins and never grow old while doing so, and on the other hand you have the heir apparent to his throne who is either loyal to a fault or just waiting for the opportunity to stab old daddy straight through the heart.
The Demon's Head and his daughter seem intent on wiping out most of the planet as soon as they can, which puts them in direct conflict with the Caped Crusader. Even though they have yet to beat him, they have come a lot closer than most.
Either way it makes for an interesting dynamic, and one that's even more entertaining when you take into consideration just how deadly both really are.
They are highly trained assassins with genius level intellects and neither are afraid to fight to the death at the drop of a hat. In fact, there's a very good chance that's what's written on their coat-of-arms.
