After writing about the same character for nearly 80 years, you have to devise some crazy ideas to keep the stories entertaining. It's probably this sort of thinking that led the writers to create a story where Captain America was bitten by a werewolf to become CapWolf.

As CapWolf, he faced a cosmic werewolf called Starwolf because the writers thought fighting a normal werewolf wasn't exciting enough.

However, this isn't the only time Cap has had a paranormal encounter. A vampiric entity called Anthony desired to rule the world by turning the world's superheroes into vampires. He turned Cap into a vampire, believing his tactical genius would help Anthony achieve his goal as efficiently as possible.

Luckily, the Serum that transformed Rogers into Captain America made him resistant to every poison, including vampirism. As one scientist said to him. "There is no infection your body can't beat. Nothing that won't be obliterated given a little time. I believe you've had your last sick day, son."

After reverting to normal, Cap used Thor's hammer to teleport all the vampires to the other side of the Earth, where it is daytime. Since vampires are vulnerable to sunlight, all of them burned to death within seconds.
