3. Royal Talon Fighter Attack (76100)
There were two tie-ins for the MCU’s 2018 Black Panther film. One had a rhino and a cart full of vibranium. It was mostly a hodge-podge and just felt poorly executed.
The other set, though, was an immediate success. It skipped the filler of side builds, focused on a main vehicle build, and sprinkled in some awesome minifigs, and that’s how it’s done.
The vehicle is one of the Royal Talon fighters featured throughout the film, and even in Lego form it’s sharp and menacing. It looks great on display, but it’s quite “swooshable” and perfect for play, too.
The minfigs are all main characters in the film: Nakia, Ulysses Klaue, Erik Killmonger, and of course Black Panther. This is Killmonger from the museum heist scene, not later scenes when he has his own Black Panther suit (that’s in the other set.) All the minifigs have great designs, so the entire set comes together perfectly.
