12 Unfairly Hated DC Comics Characters

11. Hal Jordan

Hal seems to arouse more hostility than any other Justice Leaguer. Consider the vast selection of detestable Hal Jordans: the token reactionary from the 1970s “Green Lantern/Green Arrow” comic, the mass-murderer of the 1990s, the idiot from Frank Miller’s “All-Star Batman & Robin,” the disastrous Ryan Reynolds portrayal. Even Jonah Hill’s annoying “Lego Movie" version.

And remember how many times Hal WASN’T in “Super Friends” or “Justice League?” Put simply, Hal is no one's favorite Green Lantern.

I'd say Hal is way underrated. Yes, he's got overflowing smugness and a questionable attachment to bomber jackets. But when he had greatness thrust upon him, he at least decided to live up to it. He's like the Tony Stark of the DC Universe, just having to put a bit more work into being a good guy. So maybe let’s all stop bagging on him, eh?

Nathan Hastings hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
