13 Most Powerful Supervillains In DC & Marvel History

8. Nekron

There are other living embodiments of death in comics, like the girl version Thanos is always trying to get with and the cuter goth girl version introduced in The Sandman. But Nekron is considerably more proactive than those folks: intending to kill the spirit of life in the universe itself, he developed a set of power rings which he uses to reanimate the dead as evil, more snarky versions of themselves. He could also warp reality, raise the dead or kill with a touch, grow to planet size and fire black energy bolts because come on, everyone has to be able to fire black energy bolts. Various superhero resurrections were also his doing, but once his latest, greatest plan was defeated, death in superhero comics became more-- became more-- permanent... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HEE HEE HO HO HAHAHA... No, not really.
