14 Craziest Things We Learned From House Of X And Powers Of X

3. Moira's Sixth Life

In House of X #2, we see the various experiences Moira went through leading up to her tenth and current life. While it was interesting to see how she became the person is in the current timeline, Hickman mysteriously left the story of her sixth life out of that issue.

This is because her sixth life was actually being played out in Powers of X series during the Ascension storyline, which is set one thousand years in the future. That's right, Moira managed to survive for a thousand years by taking blood transfusions from Wolverine. Although that's pretty cool, it's far from the biggest reveal over the six issue run.

It turns out that Nimrod The Greater and a character called The Librarian have created the Nimbus Worldmind. This hive-mind experiment has been used as a way of attracting the Phalanx to Earth so they could become part of their collective.

The Librarian, who has kept mutants in captivity, boasts to Wolverine and Maura that if Moira is killed before the Phalanx take over the Earth, she'll be able to stop them. However, if she's left behind, they can use their consciousness to stop her throughout all space and time.

It's one of the craziest reveals of the entire run, as we get another glimpse into a possible future for the X-Men if they can't stop the creation of Nimrod and, most importantly, stop the threat posed by humanity.
