Evil Insanity Has A New Face With the Death Of The Family story line coming to a boil and ultimate conclusion in 2013, The Joker would return in full force, having been MIA since having his own face cut and ripped off in 2011 in Detective Comics Issue #1 and then going into hiding. Returning in late 2012 and hatching his plan against Batman and the entire extended Bat-Family, The Joker would debut a new look in Issue #15 in 2013, with a mask attached to his head: someone else's face strapped over his own. Both fitting and horrifying, Greg Capullo has re-birthed a villainous legend in a new, iconic form. Capullo's work on this Batman book is the best Batman artwork done in years, and arguably some of Capullo's best work as well. The Joker's new look as is hideous as it is justified.
