14. Huntress - New 52
On the whole, the New 52 redesigns were not the most popular ones DC have ever made. It was certainly bold to give their entire universe a complete reboot, but several of the costumes were just slightly laden with conflicting thoughts.
Superman is often held up as the example of the poor design choices, adding far too many accessories to his usually clean silhouette. Huntress, however, is one of the few to come out of the New 52 reboot all the better for it.
Huntress has always been a little too closely associated with Batman and Gotham to stand out too much on her own; she feels a bit like a spin off character, and it’s a shame because she’s had some really compelling arcs down the years.
This new design was designed with this in mind, going over the top in every aspect. Her mask was made pointier, extending high up above her hairline to give her an imposing silhouette; her long cape was given a white trim and the extra gadgets and flourishes, while a little too weighty on Superman, looked excellent on her.
