DCeased has Superman do a whole lot of stuff you wouldn't expect - killing his Daily Planet co-workers after they become zombies, killing his zombified dad, not trying to rescue Batman - the list is pretty much endless.

Despite all of this, though, it's still somehow still shocking to see the Man of Steel completely obliterate the Flash, after his friend and ally also becomes another member of the growing undead horde. When Barry Allen is infected in the Martian Manhunter attack, Superman realises that the speedster is capable of ending the world singlehandedly were he allowed to roam free, as he can infect people at sonic speed. Though upset to do so, the hero flies around the world in order to stop Barry in his path - by flying directly into the Flash as he runs towards the Man of Steel, exploding the former hero into bones and a mist of blood.

While it's totally expected that Superman would have to kill the Flash when he turned, seeing the superhero make his friend into a fleshy paste is still something that'd take you by surprise - if only because of totally violent it is.
