15 DCeased Moments That Shocked The World

Seeing things you'd never expect to be destroyed suddenly demolished in front of your eyes is pretty much the entire premise of DCeased. While this generally happens in ways you kind of expect - beloved heroes dying, iconic villains dying, the survivors' personalities changing as they deal with their loss - something few folk expected was to see Superman's hometown explode. Cities, after all, are generally left intact by the end of most zombie films - just inhabited by ruthless flesh-eating monsters.

But DCeased completely destroyed several cities in issue #4, which saw Captain Atom's death result in him exploding, destroying Washington, Baltimore, and - most importantly - Metropolis.

From here, one of the single most surreal storylines takes place, which sees the various remaining superheroes lift parts of the seafloor to add to Paradise Island, so that everyone can relocate between there and the Gotham Jungle created by Poison Ivy.
