15 Greatest Joker Comics Of All Time
9. Zero Year: Secret City
Is this take on Joker’s origin better than Alan Moore’s? Well, maybe.
This time around, The Red Hood is vicious from the start. It might be a rebellious approach, but it makes sense with Scott Snyder’s vision of Joker as an elemental force of cruel nothingness. He always was an ambassador for the abyss, and he always will be.
Maybe you think his look is a bit strange, with that pill shaped hood and exposed mouth, but isn’t it just completely, perfectly unnerving?
It’s wacky and showcases that iconic grin, and it also puts to rest any actual questions as to whether this Red Hood does or doesn’t go on to become The Joker. This version might as well already be wearing the same purple suit.
