15 Most Inappropriate Batman Storylines Of All Time

13. Batman Beats Up Blind People

The Caped Crusader's whole shtick is already pretty suspect. A rich guy with a thirst for justice who decides not to invest his vast personal fortune in improving the police force and community initiatives but to dress up in a rubber suit and punch muggers? That's a little psychotic. We know they're criminals, but they're usually just trying to get by, man. And we don't think hitting supervillains is going to restore their sanity any more than being locked up in Arkham Asylum will. Anyway, at least in most of those cases the people Batman chooses to rough up are semi-deserving of their beatdowns. You know who doesn't deserve a beat down from a totally ripped dude who trained for decades in every deadly martial art known to man? The blind.

We know, right? Like, how could we even suggest that as a possibility? Batman punching a load of blind dudes? That's so offensive! That is incredibly inappropriate! We should know better! This isn't a Daredevil crossover, is it? No, it isn't, and yes, we realise who inappropriate such a thing would be. But we are not DC editorial, and so we didn't get a say when they decided to publish a story called Operation: Blindfold with a cover depicting Batman being menaced by a load of guys with thick black sunglasses, canes, and signs reading I AM BLIND in case it wasn't clear enough. Turns out they're criminals pretending to be blind but even that seems pretty dodgy, and any witnesses would've just seen the Dark Knight attacking a load of blind people.
