15 Reasons Why Daredevil is the Greatest Superhero of All Time

4. He Has the Best Love Interests

Yeah, above this? That's Black Cat, Elektra, and Black Widow. See, Daredevil has this thing where's he's incredibly attracted to powerful, strong-willed, seductive women. He's bedded some of the most prominent Marvel females and lived to tell the tale. But he's not just going for the sensually dressed, highly...*ahem, aerobic women. He's definitely had some of his strongest relationships with women of no vigilante or spy association. One that comes to mind was his shortly-lived marriage to a woman named Milla Donnovan, a character who was also blind. Matt saw something in her that he's seen in all the other women that was so greatly personified in her handicap; he was so attracted to her independence and ability to, basically, live without a man. And they develop a relationship, a real relationship, that's very give-and-take and genuine until it comes out that Matt may have just wedded her to convince himself that he was over someone else (who, I promise, we'll get to). So, Matt's been in relationships with all sorts of women. The ones that the men drool over and the ones that get by with being wonderfully human. But his relationships have most definitely been some of the highlights of his comic runs. And, might I add, that the likes of Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark have nothing on the notches in the bedpost that Matt Murdock sleeps on every night. And further, now that Daredevil is part of the Avengers, I'd personally like to see how he would deal in a relationship with Ms. Marvel. Not just because she's my favorite superheroine, but because Matt should be in a relationship where he fears he might be disintegrated every once in a while. Keep that fella in check, Ms. Danvers.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
