20 Comic Characters That Are Total Rip-Offs‏

10. Black Cat

Spider-Man Black Cat
Marvel

Felicia Hardy may have some ill-defined "luck" powers but for all intents and purposes she's just a regular gal who follows her father into the cat burgling business. And what better attire to go wear whilst breaking into some of the highest-security buildings, museums and the like in New York than a skin-tight black PVC suit?

And what better way to build up a reputation than by taking on the very mantle of a cat, just in case people forget what your deal with? It'd be a lot easier if these damn superheroes would stop turning up and trying to "rehabilitate" her...

Totally a rip-off of: Catwoman

The Catwoman
DC Comics

Selina Kyle can sympathise. She's been leaning towards the "hero" half of the anti-hero equation as of late, thanks to the love of a good (Bat)man. That's after a long, long career of wearing a succession of slinky black catsuits which are somehow the best outfit for cat burgling, despite the shininess and the propensity for loud squeaking. And chafing.

It's possible that Black Cat and Catwoman just happen to come from the same inspiration - taking the cat burglar title entirely too literally - but the near-identical costumes, names, attitudes, modes of transportation (the bullwhip/sorta bullwhip) and relationships with superheroes are a little harder to explain away.
