Wolverine's classic costume has something of a bestial quality to it - and that is very reflective of the man himself. The headgear is extremely reminiscent of an animal, perhaps somewhat like a bat with the pointed ears, while the costume as a whole is a bright array of yellow and blue stripes, which is very much like an insect whose colours are there to ward off predators. Of course, Wolverine's claws and muscle mass add a touch of coolness to his overall look, but his distinctive outfit is just as important to the frightening and formidable persona that makes so many people in the Marvel universe terrified and wary of him.
