The second Superman analogue in this list - and one of the more recently created characters, having only been around since 2008 - is Blue Marvel. He is Adam Bernard Brashear, Marvel's attempt to introduce a black superhero with Superman's power-set, and he is awesome. His suit is a more streamlined version of those worn by Superman and Sentry, as it is a tight-fitting blue number in the mould of the aforementioned pair, but it has scrapped the cape. While it loses a little bit of its potential grandeur without a cape, it certainly becomes more contemporary and, in that regard, cooler. Sporting a huge "M" on the chest and sometimes coming with a white mask accompaniment, it's a great look for Blue Marvel.
