Another trench coat-wearing ass-kicker comes in the form of Dark Horse's heroic demon Hellboy. It's a close call between him and John Constantine as to who gets the higher placing in the list, but Hellboy's leather pants, sturdy boots and bare red chest under the trench coat gives him the edge, as his look is simply more kick-ass. There must be something about being a bad-ass slayer of the supernatural that makes wearing a trench coat cool - and Hellboy, like Constantine, certainly pulls it off with a certain je ne sais quoi. Again, it's nothing like the traditional look of a superhero, but when you carry the look with this level of awesomeness it really doesn't matter.
