13. Something Terrible Always Happens To Those He Loves
Being Daredevil's girlfriend is not good for your health. Karen Page became a pornstar after splitting up with Matt, and was tricked into thinking she had AIDS in a convoluted plot which ended with her being murdered by Bullseye. Heather Glenn descended into alcoholism when she broke up with him and ultimately ended up committing suicide. Elektra meanwhile would also be murdered by Bullseye, but she was at least resurrected after. It doesn't stop there though, because the long forgotten Glorianna OBreen was thrown from a window and killed by one of Daredevil's Z-List enemies (a man known as Kruel), while Matt's wife Milla Donovan was driven insane by Mr. Fear and ended up being institutionalised. Why do such terrible things happen to the women in Daredevil's life? No definitive answer has ever been given, but it's a pattern many of his writers seem to stick to.
