18. He Nearly Starred In His Own Musical

Captain America starred in a musical of sorts in the USO show segments in Captain America: The First Avenger, but back in 1985, there were very real plans to put the star spangled superhero on Broadway. Written by Mel Mandel and Norman Sachs, the big budget production was set to follow Steve Rogers as he went through a mid-life crisis. Things would take an action packed turn when his girlfriend was kidnapped by terrorists and taken to the Lincoln Memorial though. It all thankfully ended up falling apart, and comic book fans were saved from a superhero musical until Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark's disastrous debut.
