17. He Spent Over A Decade In An Alternate Dimension
Captain America was recently transported to Dimension Z by Arnim Zola, a bizarre alternate reality ruled over by the robotic villain. Upon his arrival, Steve stole the infant being raised by Zola and went on the run. However, he would end up spending over 12 years trapped there (raising the boy as his son, Ian), and when he returned to Earth, almost not time had passed at all. Despite growing a pretty epic looking beard while he was in Dimension Z, the hero had barely aged a day. This newfound side effect of the super soldier serum is an indication that Steve will be serving as Captain America for the foreseeable future.
