5. The "Superman Curse" Is Really Spooky

There are those who believe that the role of Superman brings a curse with it. This theory comes primarily from the fates of George Reeves (a suspect suicide) and Christopher Reeve (paralysed in a horse riding accident). But beyond those two sad events, fans have created the "Superman Curse" themselves, even roping in the likes of Marlon Brando, Richard Pryor, Lane Smith, and the baby who played Kal-El in 1978's Superman (he died at the age of 14 from solvent abuse). There's no real evidence to suggest this is a real thing, especially when so many actors linked to the iconic character have remained relatively unscathed. Simply put, it doesn't exist!
