20 Most Powerful X-Men Villains Of All Time
1. Proteus
Surprisingly, the most powerful being in the Marvel Universe on the side of good is Franklin Richards, the pre-pubescent kid of Reed Richards and Sue Storm from the Fantastic Four. Frankling has reality-warping abilities on the level of a god, which are only kept in check by him being a child and not knowing how powerful he is.
Proteus, son of mutant expert Moira MacTaggert, has the exact same power set, but his are kept in check by being forced into an induced coma by Professor Xavier. The young Kevin MacTaggert, sometimes also known as Mutant X, has the ability to change the world around him how he sees fit. Thankfully, he's absolutely insane.
That means he tends not to realise how powerful he is, either. It also means he often strikes violently out and kills loads of people, whilst being unkillable himself – he exists without physical form, and finds host bodies to inhabit to do stuff. When that body gets killed, he can just float off and get another. And if he ever actually got mental help?
Well, then he might realise the full extent of his reality-warping abilities. In which case, he could think about wiping out the X-Men, and it would be like they never existed.
