3 Ways Death Of Wolverine Delivered (And 3 Ways It Didn't)

1. Each Issue Was Far Too Expensive

It has become clear over the course of this article that Death Of Wolverine featured a negative to counteract each positive aspect of the series and this point is entirely in-keeping with that notion. We had discussed how Marvel's production values for the series were excellent, and they really were. Death Of Wolverine definitely looks the part in any comic book fan's collection. Unfortunately, Marvel really forced fans to pay for this increase in production value, with each issue costing the pricey sum of $4.99. Whenever you see that a regular comic book costs $2.99 and that fans rightfully complain whenever the price is bumped up to $3.99 for some series, it seems ridiculous that Marvel was able to charge effectively five bucks for Death Of Wolverine. This hit UK fans particularly hard, as a $4.99 comic book tends to cost almost £4 in our local comic shop (£3.85 to be exact). We believe Marvel should have offered a more reasonably priced version of each issue, without all the bonus material, to go along with the prestige edition. That certainly would have made its way on to our pull list and would've left less of a bad taste in the mouth from paying nearly £16 for a story that didn't deliver anywhere near as much as it should have. Well, do you agree with our dissection of Death Of Wolverine? Have we been too harsh? Or have we gone easy on it? Sound off in the comments section below.
