The Deadpool character has been used in some truly memorable storylines, and one of the most self-conscious is the Deadpool Kills Deadpool series. As the title suggests, the real Deadpool must kill various other incarnations of Deadpool across four volumes that also feature the members of the Deadpool Corps (Headpool, Dogpool, Golden-Age Deadpool, Kidpool and Lady Deadpool). Make sense? Basically, the storyline plays with parallel universes, each of which has its own Deadpool. What could be more self-reflexive than a comic book in which its main character has to take out other versions of himself?
