Rebellion, "Counterfeit Girl” #4 Milligan/Dayglo/Regan/De Ville

Worth Reading For: The art - either beautifully disgusting or disgustingly beautiful. Either way, it’s outstanding. What? Repeats are allowed if they’re this good.

Still looking for a cure for the “Cognizantus Rash” she picked up from a dirty identity she swiped, I.D. thief Libra tries a number of different potential ‘remedies.’ None of them is right, of course, since she can’t find the cure without finding the host and there’s little chance of that while Gene Selfish - the ‘low-life’ simmer who sold her the dodgy I.D. - is on the lam.

#4 of “Counterfeit Girl” came out this week and, although it doesn’t progress the story an enormous amount, it’s definitely worth picking up the Prog. for.

Dayglo’s pencils and Regan’s colours make for some of the best artwork to come out of 2000AD since Bryan Talbot’s days. Oh, and Peter Milligan continues to deserve his ‘legendary’ status.

A. J. S. Scott was created as a homunculus by a mad English Alchemist who was trying to make rum from ink and seawater. He is still a fan of both and he has no comment on what happened to all the ‘No Exit’ signs in Islington Underground Station when he visited for Beltaine. You can send him missives by bribing the Right Raven with sour-strings, or: Instagram: @ajsscott Tumblr: andrew-scott-things.tumblr.com
