Worth Reading For: The On-going Concept-Driven … Saga!

If you haven’t kept up with Saga so far then there are just a couple of things you need to know: the art and storytelling make genius look easy. (Though, I suppose, that’s exactly what genius is.)

It’s a story of what it must feel like to be a parent on any planet. To be a parent in general. You create the most beautiful thing you never thought you were capable of making and then you realise that you’ve brought it to a dangerous, unforgiving universe and now you have to deal with the consequences.

In this issue we see Hazel learning some harsh truths about what words spoken in anger can really do, the worth of a fairy tale ending and the fact that nothing - even in a seemingly never-ending saga - is forever.

Saga is a slow-burning incense stick that smells just like home. Wherever you’re from.

That’s it for this week, hopefully it was helpful! Don’t forget to leave a comment if you think any more should be added...

A. J. S. Scott was created as a homunculus by a mad English Alchemist who was trying to make rum from ink and seawater. He is still a fan of both and he has no comment on what happened to all the ‘No Exit’ signs in Islington Underground Station when he visited for Beltaine. You can send him missives by bribing the Right Raven with sour-strings, or: Instagram: @ajsscott Tumblr: andrew-scott-things.tumblr.com
