Worth Reading For: It’s Pure Whirlwind Storytelling Amidst The Gore!

“The last issue of Mercury Heat is here and it promises to go out with a nuclear blast sized bang! Luiza is ready to dole out some catastrophic payback to the miscreants that turned a station full of innocents into a charnel house.

Now with the true nature of the "Crossed" discovered and scum-bags behind it in her sights, can this one woman wrecking machine manage to save the day without costing everyone at the station their lives? It's a no holds barred race to the finish with a Nuclose-enhanced cop unleashing the hounds of war!”

Gillen is the man with the golden touch and, presumably, he’s yet to petrify his family members or try to hide any pesky donkey ears. If you haven’t been following “Mercury Heat” then you’ve been missing out. It’s Gillen at his gore-heaving, lunacy-ridden storytelling best.

If you liked his jaw-plummetingly good alt-history “Über” then this tale of an enhanced bounty hunter who won’t let anything stifle her bloody (being the operative word) minded determination on the Mercury Colonies. It’s fun and horrific in equal measure and, ultimately, it’s just a bloody well told story.

A. J. S. Scott was created as a homunculus by a mad English Alchemist who was trying to make rum from ink and seawater. He is still a fan of both and he has no comment on what happened to all the ‘No Exit’ signs in Islington Underground Station when he visited for Beltaine. You can send him missives by bribing the Right Raven with sour-strings, or: Instagram: @ajsscott Tumblr: andrew-scott-things.tumblr.com
