1. Selina Kyle aka Catwoman
Catwoman is easily the most influential woman in the Batman universe. Strength, sass, tragedy, redemption and ball gowns have defined Catwoman at one time or another creating one of the most diverse and evolutionary female characters in the comic book world. Her ambiguous moral code made her a rich counterpart to Batman as well as a character worthy of her own series. Selina Kyle has received almost as many make-overs as Batman in their various incarnations. Beginning as a jewel thief and occasional bounty hunter, Catwoman becomes an anti-hero with more depth and history than some of the prominent male characters in the universe. All of the versions, however, share an attraction to Bruce Wayne and Batman forcing them both to constantly reexamine themselves in each others eyes. Their shared morals pull them together but their similarities keep them apart. Batman and Catwoman may very well be one of the best love stories of the 20th century.
