Invisibility. Flight. Telepathy. If you ask people what super power they would like to have, these are the kind of abilities most suggest. Few would consider asking for the power to shrink and communicate with ants, but that's exactly the premise behind Ant-Man, one of Marvels oldest heroes. When Marvel Studios first announced an Ant-Man movie, many were skeptical. How can a tiny hero hold their own against larger than life characters such as Thor and Iron Man? The news that Edgar Wright, the man behind Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, would be taking the miniature hero in a comedic direction was met with a mostly positive response that reassured fans Ant-Man had potential on the big screen. Peyton Reed was later announced as his replacement and this time round, the response was less than favourable. Now that many fans are losing faith in the Ant-Man adaptation, it's time to look at 5 reasons why audiences need to take the pint-sized hero seriously. Don't underestimate the little guy. He's played a pivotal role in the Marvel comics for decades and if handled right, Ant-Man has the potential to be one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Seriously. The Hulk needs to watch out. That's all I'm saying... Read on if you don't believe me!
