2. Batman and Robin is Keeping Damian's Death Relevant
The book is still being put out, albeit under various different titles depending on which member of the Bat-family that the Dark Knight is teaming up with. Not just that, but Peter Tomasi is doing a pretty stellar job on it, especially in a post-Damian world. Snyders Batman #18 just didnt have the same impact as Tomasis silent issue of Batman and Robin #18. There is a shared idea among a lot of readers that while Grant Morrison created the character of Damian Wayne, it was Tomasi that really perfected him. A big concern was that, by launching Zero Year, the main Batman book would be taking readers completely away from how the caped crusader deals with the death of his son. The counter argument though is that with so many different bat-books being printed the whole Batman in mourning arc can get a bit over saturated. Tomasis book is doing a wonderful job at using a five stages of grief arc right now, and with Snyder taking a year to do his origin tale Batman and Robins next few arcs set themselves up to be this generations Lonely Place of Dying.
