5 Reasons You NEED To Read Image Comics' Black Science

4. The Characters

Black Science Rick Remender

It's nigh-on impossible not to love the terribly flawed cast of Black Science. They are heroes. The are villains. They are misguided protagonists, neurotic temptresses and corporate turncoats on the rocky road to redemption. Every character has both an admirable and a not-so-admirable layer to their personality, and there is nothing better in fiction than a perfectly linear story being botched by the irrational actions of a dysfunctional group of humans.

The question proposed to you, the reader, is this: What manner of choices would you make in this scenario of unending peril? Through this thought process, you might find yourself relating to a Black Science character more so than you would care to admit. Irrespective of your general mindset, the overall humanity of the 'dimensionauts' is something you cannot help but understand.

The natural flow of dialogue between characters is another great element of the writing. Conversation meanders between the serious and the ridiculous. As superb as the artwork is, the dialogue is often the bulk driving force of the story. What less would you expect from an Image title?
