2. Have Him Disappear
Having had his world torn apart through something he could not prevent or fix, Wolverine next has to do what he does best. Go it alone. Leave the X-men, Avengers and whatever other team hes in behind and disappear for a while. I'm talking 12-24 months comics wise. I feel he should only feature in his own comic run or potentially just one long miniseries after two months of literally no Wolverine. I know, I know, Marvel would be hesitant to hold back one of their most popular characters but his return would have such an impact and wed all be itching to see what Wolverine was up to. So getting back to the story, Logan would be back to his old ways. Drinking in a lot in bars. Getting into fights. Struggling to get over his failures. Well be able to see a tough gritty Logan again and see the character rebuild from the ground up. Maybe have him take a trip or two down memory lane. Revisit Weapon X, remind the newer crowd where Wolverine came from and when weve re-established his core, its time to move on to stage 3.
