Number 19 on our list was born to be badass, for Whitney Frost was once born Giulietta Nefaria, daughter of the villainous Count Nefaria—how could you not with a name like that—then-leader of the criminal syndicate the Maggia.
After discovering her nefarious roots, training and having her face horrifically scarred in a plane crash, Frost takes on the guise of Madame Masque and wears a gold mask to hide her injuries.
An assassin on a similar par to Daredevil nemesis Bullseye, Madame has rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest bads around, and her lack of morals or honour make her a scary foe. What’s also badass is she continues to wear her mask even after healing her face.
