50 Most Badass Women In Comics
17. Batwoman
Inheritor of a vast fortune and obsessed with fighting crime in all its forms. Sound like anyone you know?
Kate Kane’s Batwoman bears similarities to the Dark Knight in several ways, but since her relaunch in The New 52 she’s cemented herself as an icon of her own, and unlike Batgirl, she brings a bit more of the dark that makes Batman such a cool hero to root for.
It’s ironic that Batwoman was introduced as a character in the 1950s to dispel rumours her male counterpart was actually homosexual, seeing as she’s now considered the most prominent outwardly gay superhero on the DC roster, giving her that extra edge in the “Go F*** yourself” department.
