50 Most Badass Women In Comics

43. Ms. Marvel

Kamala Khan is the latest heroine to take on the mantle of Ms. Marvel, and her first four years of fiction have shown us she’s a deserving inheritor of such a darn important role.

Now, the fact she’s only been in circulation for four years means she’s at a major disadvantage in experience when compared to some others included here, but she’s doing a fine job of playing catch-up.

Khan’s entry as Ms. Marvel in 2013 as a prominent Pakistani-American superhero drew massive attention, and another thing that makes her stand out is the step away from the usually ample-bosomed, “sex sirens” we see elsewhere, which only makes her easier to love as an actual character with things like feelings and words. Who would’ve thunk it?

She may not have the same super power set as the original lady who held her title, but shapeshifting Khan is the only Ms. Marvel we need right now.
